The Neta S; A New Chinese Electric Sedan Set To Rival The Tesla Model 3
Meet the new Neta S; another Chinese Tesla competitor for you!
Neta S is a Chinese electric car that will dominate the market in the fourth quarter, is currently in its final standard-production iteration. With its stylish split headlights and low drag coefficient of 0.216 Cd, the S is a gorgeous vehicle.
The rear is equally stunning, including a car-wide light unit, a sports spoiler built into the boot lid, a tiny rear window, and a simple yet attractive design.
A single motor rear-wheel drive base version, a single motor rear-wheel drive luxury version, and a premium twin-motor four-wheel drive version with scissor doors are all depicted in the new photographs, which were kindly provided by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The Neta brand was established in 2018 by Hozon Auto. The Neta V crossover and the Neta U SUV are the only vehicles that Neta currently sells. The S's special edition was released by Neta last month, but the standard model won't be available until the fourth quarter. Although it seems strange to release a special edition before the base model, China may start to adopt this practise. With the Avatr 011 MMW earlier, the new Avatr brand performed the exact same thing.
The car is sized at 4980/1980/1450, with a 2980 wheelbase. The single motor variant has a curb weight of 1990 kilogrammes, while the twin-motor version weighs 2130 kilogrammes. Everybody received 19-inch tyres.
Both the front and the rear motors use the TZ210XS001 motor model. They both have 231 horsepower and 310 Newton metres of torque. A joint venture between Germany's Hofer Powertrain and China's CRRC.EV produces the motors under the name Wuxi CRRC Hofer Powertrain.
The result is 231 horsepower and 310 Nm at the rear wheels for the single-motor rear-wheel drive version. The four-wheel drive twin-motor variant has 462 horsepower and 620 Nm. Both models have an 185 km/h top speed restriction.
Pricing is anticipated to range from about 41.440 to 48.840 USD for the base model to roughly 330.000 yuan for the twin-motor automobile. The Neta S is primarily aimed against the China-produced Tesla Model 3, which sells for between 290.000 and 360.000 yuan. Which option will Chinese customers pick?
