2023 Toyota Vios rendered with sporty GR treatment

There’s much hype surrounding the new Toyota Yaris Ativ B-segment sedan that debuted in Thailand yesterday. This, of course, will see life here in Malaysia as the fourth-gen Vios very soon.

Given the current – and previous – Vios model’s popularity amongst enthusiasts thanks to the efforts of UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) through its Gazoo Racing motorsports banner, it has perhaps fuelled the curiosity of some fans as to how the next Vios GR-S (pictured above) could look like.
Fortunately, local digital automotive render artist Chin Swee Hoe, better known as Theophilus Chin (@theottle), has the answer to which. Here’s what Chin came up with, and he’s even gone the extra mile by giving treating this ‘GR Yaris Ativ’ vision with some very tasty flared wheel arches.

Chin has also incorporated elements of both the manic GR Yaris rally homologation special here too, most notable being the front bumper and grille, as well as the wheels. The same treatment was applied with this GR Yaris Ativ render’s derriere, which now sports a tasty bootlid rear spoiler, faux rear diffuser, and a rather striking triple-exhaust layout too.

Though Toyota Motor Thailand did show a variant of the new Yaris Ativ that’s decked out with a sporty aerokit, it somehow pales in comparison to this GR Yaris Ativ’s overall stance and the aggression it exudes.
What do you folks think of Chin’s vision on how the next-gen Toyota Vios GR-S ought to look like?
