Chinese car maker, Build Your Dream (BYD) announces its EV squad is coming to Malaysia after signing a deal with Sime Darby Motors which is responsible for handling the whole distribution of BYD vehicles across the nation.

To embark its journey, the company introduced two of its top-notch models, namely BYD Atto 3 SUV and e6 5-seater MPV, to the Malaysian market.

Curated with simple yet sophisticated elements, the BYD Atto 3 rides on 18-inch wheels which sports a sleek and modern LED lighting setup on top of a unique C-pillar to add to the SUV's premium feel.

More info on BYD Atto 3, the Malaysian specs includes 5.0-inch multi-info instrument cluster display, 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Moving inside, the interior of the upcoming Atto 3 is expected to feature a dual-tone dashboard with different layers, curves, and soft-touch materials. Also onboard, the vehicle consists of keyless entry and start button, powered front seat, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, wireless phone charger as well as multi-coloured ambient lighting.

In our nation, the Atto 4 could range from RM250k and RM300k which targeted to compete with luxury brands such as Mercedes Benz and BMW, whilst its younger siblings the Atto 3 perhaps could use a good price of below RM200k.

Built differently from the rest, Atto 4 is likely to be recognised as the most powerful dual motor AWD version which consists of a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.8 seconds and a maximum range of 650 km from its 82.5 kWh battery.

Thanks to the latest 800V method of building electric cars, the impressive Atto 4 or recognised as Seal in China capable of achieving high charging speeds at high performance DC chAutomatic climate control

However, there are no rumors of bringing Atto 4 into Malaysia.
