Find out more on BYD EVs through its Registration Form of Interest
Prior to the company's introduction in Malaysia, BYD SD Motors Malaysia (BYD SDM) has established a social media presence in Malaysia. The company launches interest registration form for its EVs where customers may receive updates ahead of its upcoming debut.
This follows up the announcement made last month that Sime Darby Motors (SDM) would serve as the sole distributor of BYD electric cars (EVs) in Malaysia which confirms two EV models namely Atto 3 and e6 which have been confirmed for local market.
During the Distribution Agreement held in Ara Damansara, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Andrew Basham stated that BYD is the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, and this partnership will bring BYD’s expertise to the Malaysian market through a wide range of EV models.
On a different note, BYD Atto 3 has already landed in Australia with two Blade EV batteries made by BYD. The first is a 49.92 kWh unit with a range of 345 km (WLTP), or 410 km if using NEDC, while the second is a 60.48 kWh unit with a range of 420 km (WLTP, 480 km if NEDC).
‘’Something BIG and NEW is coming to Malaysia, are you ready? Stay tuned and follow our page now for more updates.’’ - BYD SD Motors Malaysia highlights on its page.
