‘’SUPERMAN’’ act on highway will get you to 5 years in prison and an RM5,000–RM15,000 charges
Recently PDRM shared on their website stresses that highway drivers may be sentenced up to five years in prison and a fine of between RM 5,000 to RM 15, 000 if found guilty.
In conjunction with these statements, the "superman" riding style which is mostly common among youth riders gives some sort of excitement to them when lying prone on the motorbike seat is illegal.
What’s more concerning is that such deadly stunts could cause harm to themselves including attracting accidents involving other road users.
Individuals who violate this clause will also be prohibited from possessing or getting a driver’s license for a period of five years after their conviction.
The clause refers to Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which prohibits reckless and dangerous driving in Malaysia.
