GOOGLE Maps added EV Stations Feature, Convenient for Owners

Recently Google Maps, a web mapping platform and consumer application has received a significant upgrade that includes information about fast-charging EV stations and other features as well.
To use this new function, specify in the search box that you're looking for an EV charger, charging station, or something that would let the apps know you're driving an EV and want to plug in. Then, underneath, a new option will appear that allows you to pick which charger is available.
Nevertheless, you must have the most recent version of the programme installed on their device, which applies to both Apple and Android smartphones. Not only the new feature allows you to choose the charger's power, but also the type of plug, giving out the option of CCS, J1772, Tesla, or CHAdeMo to limit down the search even further.
Unlike in the past when users might have been directed to a less powerful charger even though they were looking for something more potent, this should no longer be an issue as owners can choose to only see chargers that can produce at least 50 kW.

Aside from that, Google Maps augmented reality capability will also be updated. Soon, a new tool called "Search with Live View" will allow users to utilize their phone's camera and discover what's nearby.
Holding up your phone and tapping the camera icon in Maps, for example, can show you surrounding landmarks, parks, hotels, restaurants, pubs, banks, and ATMs. You'll also see information like how busy the area is, whether it's open, what the price range is, and how Google Maps users rank it.
Unfortunately, the feature will only be available in six major cities such as New York, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Paris. So far, there are no signs of Malaysia getting the feature hence we shall wait.
The Google Maps platform additionally supports satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360° interactive panoramic street views, real-time traffic conditions including route planning for travelers traveling by foot or vehicles.
