JPJ Selangor’s Auction Of Seized Vehicles, MYR 527,878 Collected

Impounded vehicles accumulated over five years, sold in a public auction by the Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ).
The auction involved 135 vehicles that were prohibited by court order in accordance with Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
They were a collective of 97 motorcycles, 17 cars, seven multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), three jeeps, four buses, four vans, two general cargo lorries and a semi-trailer.

Interestingly, JPJ Director, Datuk Khairul Khar Yahya said, the highlight was a bid for a Honda Integra, which reaped MYR 58,000 and was the highest bid throughout the auction.
He also said that a total of 180 auction documents priced at MYR 70 each had been sold and had received response from private individuals and workshop owners who were present.
All in all, JPJ Selangor collected a total of MYR 527,878, and the collection reached three times higher compared to last year's auction.
