First Honda Civic e:HEV RS Delivered To Its Customer

This week, Honda Malaysia celebrated the first successful delivery of its recently launched Honda Civic e:HEV RS model. The lucky first owner was none other than Chin Kok Fung who took delivery of his black-painted Civic e:HEV RS during a special ceremony held at dealers MH Prestige Auto Sdn Bhd.
Sweetening the affair for Chin too was in the inclusion of gifts in the form of Honda Accessories and official Honda merchandise by said dealer and Honda Malaysia worth RM4,000. These, according to Honda Malaysia, was specially arranged as a token of appreciation for Chin.

“I am looking forward to experience the thrill of owning this exciting e:HEV technology and to test the car’s potential,” said Chin as the keys to his new car was handed over to him by Honda Malaysia’s MD and CEO Hironobu Yoshimura and MH Prestige Auto’s director Ng Jit Hua.
“Honda Malaysia is doing our best to deliver new models on a timely manner while ensuring the highest quality of our products and services. A huge thank you to our customers for their unwavering support, patience and understanding during this period,” added Yoshimura during the ceremony.

Besides Chin, Honda Malaysia also states that, to date, over 180 units of the new Civic e:HEV RS have been delivered to customers nationwide. This, in turn, also stands as a reflection of the reception said model has received since it was launched last month.

The latest addition to the eleventh generation Civic sees Honda priming it with the latest iteration of its e:HEV hybrid petrol-electric powertrain setup. It features a 2.0-litre Atkinson Cycle 4-cyl naturally aspirated mill working in tandem with two electric motors, all paired with an eCVT transmission plus an Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) system to deliver 181 HP and 315 NM.

Slotted as the new flagship in the range, the Civic e:HEV RS comes primed with he full Honda Sensing ADAS suite, as well as a number of high tech features such as novel key card, 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, Honda Connect, as well as Active Noise Control (ANC), amongst many others, on top of its sporty exterior and interior styling.
Priced at RM166,500, both a 5-year, unlimited warranty coverage plus an additional 8-year, unlimited mileage warranty on the hybrid battery system are included. Notably, at launch, Honda Malaysia also noted that delivery times for the Civic e:HEV RS model specifically will take anywhere between 2 to 3 months. This latest delivery ceremony sees the firm holding true to said promise indeed.
Additionally, CariCarz.com had earlier approached Honda Malaysia to ascertain the delivery times of other models too. A spokesperson from the firm said that delivery times are almost back to normal, though some models will still experience longer than usual delivery times due to overwhelming order numbers.
