New Bentley Continental GT Speed and Bacalar 1:43 Scale Models Released

With the festive Christmas holidays just around the corner, British marque Bentley sees its lifestyle merchandise and accessories catalogue updated with the addition of two new scale models. Available in 1:43 scale model forms now are the famed Flying-B’s Continental GT Speed and Bacalar creations.

Despite their miniature sizes, the details applied in both look equally as exquisite as the full-sized cars. Moreover, both also wear the exact same paintjobs as the real, full-sized cars, namely the specially developed ‘Yellow Flame’ hue of the Bacalar, and the ‘Candy Red’ shade of the Continental GT Speed.

Before you ask, Bentley has stated that these are the only colours available for this pair of scale models. The availability of other colours remains uncertain at the time of writing.

The fine attention-to-detail is also evident in the way each model replicates the interiors of the respective full-sized car they’re based upon. These include the seat pattern and yellow stitching for the Bacalar, followed by the ‘Hotspur’ and ‘Speed’ embroidery motif in the Continental GT Speed.

Of course, what you won't get in these scale models are the manic 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 powertrains that motivates both cars. In the Continental GT Speed, said powertrain delivers 650 HP and 900 NM, allowing 0-100 KM/H in just 3.6 seconds. The Bacalar uses the same powertrain and delivers similar performances too as a result.

Back to these scale models and, as mentioned, they’re not officially part of the Bentley marque’s lifestyle accessories range, each commanding an RRP of £100 (approx. RM540). Both also come with chic Bentley-branded box packaging too, with UK sales commencing this week.
