Chery Group has announced its eight consecutive months where sales numbers have exceeded 100,000 units of vehicles sold globally since June 2022. Just last Jan 2023, it sold 101,379 units globally which is a +16.5% year-on-year growth.

Chery’s Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 7 still proves to be its bread and butter models with 10,856 and 12,768 units sold just in January following 1.23 million units globally in 2022 solidifying Chery’s status as the top-exporting Chinese passenger car brand for 20 years in a row.

Furthermore, just in 2022, Chery’s Tiggo 8 Pro ranked second in JD Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study on top of securing numerous awards including ‘2022 Most Innovative Model’ in Saudi Arabia, ‘Best Medium-sized SUV of the Year’ in Mexico and ‘Best Mid-size Crossover Vehicle’ at the CAMPI Philippine International Motor Show. Just in the first two months of the year, the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV also managed to secure ‘Best Engine under 2.0 litres’ at The 2023 Auto Award Ceremony in Sao Paulo, the Tiggo 8 awarded ‘Best SUV of the Year’ in Brazil.

Moving forward, Chery has also unveiled its 2025 cutting-edge technology strategy last Sept where it presented ‘Technology Chery’ which is meant to break the traditional impression of Chery to the outside world.

For the rest of 2023, Chery has pledged to continue its drive towards the ‘Technology Chery’ initiative as it takes its sales, vehicle quality and reputation to new heights.
