Launched: 2023 Bentley Continental GT S – Sporty ‘Driver-Focused’ Special, Priced From RM1.059 Million*

Besides the opulently plush new Bentayga Azure EWB, Bentley Kuala Lumpur also took the opportunity to introduce a new addition to its Continental GT line-up in the form of the new Continental GT S. Said model forms part of the Flying-B marque’s S-range that focuses on driving performance with the visual presence to match.

Setting this iteration of the Continental GT apart from the usual is its adoption of the Blackline Specification that trades shiny exterior chrome trims for gloss black-finished trims, dark tint head- and taillights, not forgetting a set of subtle carbon fibre trims plus subtle S-badges mounted in the quarter panel. Other touches include Speed-style sills, black mirror caps, as a blacked-out sports exhaust.

As for wheels, a 21-inch tri-spoke design choice is standard equipment, but the car presented today featured the optional 22-inch units sporting a striking Y-spoke design and Pale Brodgar Satin finish. Hiding behind them are massive iron brake rotors (front: 320 MM, rear: 380 MM) grabbed by striking red-painted calipers – the latter being a unique hallmark of this S version.

On board, the Continental GT S’s cabin features a distinct two-tone motif executed through the combination of Bentley’s signature dual-veneer dash trim, as well as rich use of hand-cut leather and soft napped finished Dinamica fibres. The car displayed today also boasted unique quilted stitch patterns option primed in this seats and door inserts.

Other variant-specific hallmarks here include the embossed S-badge in the seat headrests, a metal S-badge on the dash, illuminated S-badged treadplates, as well as a special performance-oriented display graphics from the Continental GT Speed in both its digital instrument panel and neat 12.3-inch revolving centre infotainment touchscreen.
As for the cabin audio system, the Continental GT S gets a 650-watt 10-speaker system as standard. However, prospects can opt for an uprated Bang & Olufsen 1,500-watt 16-speaker setup, or even a top-line Naim Audio 2,200-watt 16-speaker setup option instead.

Despite its speedy aesthetics, this variant of the Conti GT does not get the signature 6.0-litre W12-twin-turbo powertrain – this is now offered exclusively in the Speed model variants only. Instead, the Continental GT S shares the same 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo as the Bentayga Azure EWB launched alongside it earlier today, outputting the same 542 HP and 770 NM figures.

Said outputs power all four wheels via a slick 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive (AWD), thus allowing the Continental GT S to despatch 0-100 KM/H in just 3.9 seconds whilst enroute towards a claimed V-max of 318 KM/H. In other words, despite not packing the full-cream W12, this sportier driver-focused special of the V8-powered Continental GT does have the speed to match its style.
Adding to that too is the inclusion of a unique sports exhaust system made especially for the Continental GT S, promising and distinct and aggressive soundtrack to match.

Moreover, said performance is boosted further with the presence of Bentley’s Drive Dynamics selector offering up to four selectable drive modes that includes both ‘Comfort’ and ‘Sport’. This suite optimises the powertrain accordingly to suit any driving needs, as well as both the active air suspension and active anti-rolls bars primed in the Continental GT S’s chassis.
Keen on commissioning your very own Bentley Continental GT S? Orders can now be placed through Bentley Kuala Lumpur where this sporty version of Bentley’s staple V8-powered grand tourer commands a base retail price of RM1,059,000 excluding options, duties, taxes, and on-road costs.
