The myBAS50 initiative was launched today at Larkin Sentral station by the Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke.
Through this initiative, Johoreans, especially students and workers would enjoy unlimited bus travel just for RM50 per month.
To capitalise on this initiative, users are advised to register themselves to myBAS50 by downloading the LUGO App (https://rem7j.app.goo.gl/sTaw) or through selected customer service counters located in;
JB CIQ
KSL City Mall
TF Value-Mart Nusa Bestari
Broken Bracelet Bus Terminal
Senai International Airport
Kulai Bus Terminal
The myBAS50 passes can be officially used from 1 Apr 2023 on all 19 MyBAS Johor Bahru routes.
YB Anthony also added that increasing ridership and service punctuality are the main KPIs for the bus operators who would receive subsidies for these services under Stage Bus Services Transformation (SBST) program. This would in turn help reduce the burden of public transport costs in Johor Bahru.
He emphasised further that the development of digital mobility innovation through which live bus arrival timing can be easily made available to users via open data initiative or Open Transit API.
