4.5 million Perodua Vehicles Registered Since 1994 To June 2023

There were 4.5 million Perodua vehicles recorded on Malaysian roads from 1994 to June of this year, making it the most preferred brand among Malaysians, according to Berita Harian.
For the record, Perodua was founded in 1992. With a market share of more than 40%, the business has since expanded to rank as Malaysia's second-largest automaker. Perodua is renowned for producing vehicles that are readily available, dependable, and fuel-efficient and are therefore ideal for the Malaysian market.

Perodua has had excellent sales records since 2006, according to Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President and CEO of Perodua.
Of that number, he added, the best-selling model was the Perodua Myvi with 1.4 million units, followed by the Kancil with 708,527 units and the Axia with 611,787 units.
The carmaker plans to maximise its production to 330,000 units and sales to 314,000 units this year in view of anticipated strong demand, as well as for outstanding orders carried forward from last year.
In the first six months of 2023, Perodua produced 153,813 vehicles, a 17% increase over the 131,641 units produced in the same period in 2022, Zainal said.
“The production achievement resulted in a registration increase of 13.6% to 144,690 vehicles for the first half of 2023 (1H23) compared with 127,343 units sold in the same period last year”, he added.
In further remarks, Zainal Abidin stated that Perodua is constantly working to enhance the value proposition of goods and services for Malaysians while maintaining vehicle prices at an affordable level without compromising their quality.
