First 2,200 Units of Honda WR-V Delivered – RS Most Popular Variant
Honda Malaysia today has delivered over 2,200 units of the all-new Honda WR-V, within a month since making its local debut. This occasion marks a rather excellent reception from Malaysians towards the marque’s latest compact SUV model.

Among the 2,200 units delivered, the first-ever unit belongs to Ms. Nurain Mohamad, who received her unit of the WR-V in a special handover ceremony held by Honda Malaysia. As the first Malaysian to book and get the WR-V, Nurain was presented with freebies from Honda Malaysia, consisting of a bevy of Honda Accessories, body coating and several Honda official merchandise worth RM5,000.

Presented during the handover ceremony, Honda Malaysia managing director and CEO Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our customers for their trust in the Honda brand and support for the All-New WR-V, which is a brand-new model in the Non-National Small SUV segment. Since its launch, the model has been well accepted in the market and achieved remarkable sales performance.
“We are also delighted to share that the All-New WR-V is the second best-selling model in our Honda line-up for the month of July 2023,” Mr. Yoshimura added.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nurain said, “When Honda Malaysia announced that they were launching the All-New WR-V, I did some research on the car and was immediately impressed by its design and features. The model has a young and energetic profile, showcased by its stylish and striking appearance that reflects my personality.”
Honda WR-V RS variant is the most popular choice amongst Malaysians
From the 2,200 units, the RS variant is by far the most popular model right now, accounting for over 60% of the units delivered so far. Being the range-topping variant of the model, the WR-V RS stood as the most stylish of the bunch, featuring a slew of RS-exclusive chrome trims, while riding on sporty two-tone 16-inch wheels.
Aside from those, the WR-V RS also comes standard with the Honda CONNECT, which grants customers with a bevy of remote controls and telematic functions like Find My Car, Geo-fencing Alert, Security Alarm Detection, remote start and pre-conditioning, and many more.
All across the board, the Honda WR-V is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cyl nat-asp DOHC i-VTEC mill that generates 121 PS and 145 NM. Said powertrain is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox, which facilitates power delivery to its front wheels (FWD).
Starting from RM89,900 on-the-road sans insurance, the all-new Honda WR-V is now available for customers to view and test drive at any of the 101 authorised Honda dealerships nationwide.
