Jalan Ampang Contraflow - Prioritise Public Transport Movement
-full_normal.jpg)
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has announced that there would be a permanent lane closure and contraflow activation during peak hours along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
Specifically, the lane closure and contraflow activation would occur between 6.30 and 7.30 p.m. and between 6 and 9 a.m. during peak rush hour. Only the portion of Jalan Ampang that runs from the Jalan Tun Razak intersection to the Jalan RU intersection would be impacted.

DBKL has said that the purpose of this contraflow activation is to create a bus and taxi lane specifically for the purpose of giving priority to the movement of public transport. Members of the public are encouraged to use public transport if possible inorder to reduce private vehicle usage.
