Tesla Destination Chargers Coming Soon To Penang’s All Seasons Place

As Tesla Malaysia is somewhat ramping up its Model 3 deliveries (where we’re also seeing loads of complaints of its customer service level and delivery quality) it has not forgotten its promise to deliver a solid charging network to its buyers.
Based on CariCarz.com latest findings, the latest addition to the Tesla charging network is set to go online soon in the island-state of Penang. More specifically, these are new destination chargers that are located at the All Seasons Place along Georgetown’s Lebuh Thean Teik Air Itam.
These chargers appear to be similar to what Tesla deployed at Pavilion Damansara. According to details garnered from the Plugshare app’s database, this latest addition will feature four chargers in total, and all will see their access limited exclusively to Tesla owners only.
Presently, these chargers are still not operational yet, likely indicating the probability of a delay in the Energy Commission's licence. Tesla faced a similar issue whilst setting up its chargers at Sunway Putra Mall that took a little over three months to become operational.
With this upcoming new Tesla destination chargers in Penang not opened to other brands (for now), perhaps non-Tesla EV owners can look forward to other upcoming Supercharger locations for that.
As a refresher, Tesla Malaysia had initially committed to open up to 30% of its initial 50 Superchargers for other brands, which is part of the conditions that allowed their rapid entry into our local EV market space.
