Datuk Aishah Ahmad, MAA President, Passes Away At 71

It is with a heavy heart that we report Datuk Aishah Ahmad, president of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), has passed away at the age of 71. CariCarz.com has received verification from trusted sources regarding the local industry stalwart’s sudden passing. It is understood that Datuk Aishah passed away peacefully on Feb 3 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, just after completing her Umrah in Mecca. She was due to return to Malaysia on Feb 4. It is also understood that immediate family members are in the midst of managing the burial rites in Saudi Arabia at the time of writing.

For the record, Datuk Aishah previously held the positions of CEO of Sime Darby Auto Imports Sdn Bhd and Head of Corporate Affairs for Sime Darby Motors. She then held the title of president at MAA in 2000.
