“Ops Hormati Undang-Undang” Kicks Off Today Till June 15

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Kuala Lumpur division will launch “Operasi Hormati Undang-Undang” (Op HUU) today, June 4, and will continue until June 15.

Previously, Op HUU was implemented in two phases: Phase 1 from July 3 to 31, 2023, and Phase 2 from September 15 to 29, 2023.

According to Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, this exercise would, as in past years, focus on violations concerning traffic obstruction, white lines, registration numbers, motorbikes, education, unlawful parking, red lights, and mobile phones.

This time around, the Kuala Lumpur Police will deploy about 200 officers from various departments and districts to ensure that the operation's goal is realised.

Datuk Rusdi continued, "Road users are advised to always comply with the set regulations and practise courteous driving for the safety of all road users and to maintain the image of Kuala Lumpur as a city centre."
