2024 Proton X50 RC – Over 8,000 Bookings Garnered In First Month
In just its first month on sale, the revised 2024 Proton X50 RC (Running Change) has amassed a total of 8,000 bookings.
National carmaker Proton revealed earlier today that its lightly revised 2024 Proton X50 RC (Running Change) compact crossover has charted a total of 8,000 bookings placed in its first month. The model was launched last month featuring various minor yet critical changes on board.
“We are thrilled to see such exceptional booking numbers in the first month alone, which demonstrates the strong appeal of the 2024 Proton X50,” expressed the carmaker’s deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah via a press statement issued earlier today.
Proton deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah during the 2024 Proton X50 RC's launch last month. The exec highlights that production of the model will be ramped up and deliveries accelerated.
In light of the X50 RC’s overwhelming response, Proton iterates that it will boost the model’s production and accelerate its deliveries too. Additionally, Proton also reassured that early bird customers will receive their entitled rewards accordingly.
Regarding the latter, Proton announced at launch both an RM7,000 discount and between RM1,000 to RM1,500 trade-in support for eager customers who’ve placed early bookings for the X50 RC. “We want to assure our customers that we are doing everything possible to meet their expectations,” adds Roslan.
The 2024 Proton X50 RC saw minor changes that made major improvements to its NVH levels plus enhanced user experience as well.
As a refresher, the updated 2024MY iteration of the Geely Binyue/Coolray-based compact crossover model was revealed with a series of minor improvements, mostly to enhance both its tech and comfort. We experienced the latter first hand through a short pre-launch test drive recently too.
Notable tweaks primed in the chassis saw Proton lowering the X50 RC’s noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels over previous iterations. Another key highlight is the upgraded 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display hardware that’s now faster and smoother than before.
Prices for the 2024 Proton X50 RC starts from RM86,300 and includes a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
As before, a total of four variants are available for the X50 RC – Standard, Executive, Premium and range-topping 1.5 TGDi Flagship – that command base prices ranging between RM86,300 and RM113,300. Included is a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty, and more perks.
