Neta X Launched From RM119,888 – Includes 8-Year Or 180,000 KM Battery Warranty

The new 2024 Neta X was officially launched earlier this evening by Neta Auto Malaysia (Intro Synergy Sdn Bhd) featuring three variants - 400 Comfort, 400 Luxury, and 500 Luxury.
First previewed locally at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 earlier this year, the Neta X compact EV crossover has officially launched earlier this evening under distributors Neta Auto Malaysia (Intro Synergy Sdn Bhd).
As detailed from its initial preview mentioned, the Neta X sees three variants available – 400 Comfort, 400 Luxury and 500 Luxury – and today’s launch sees official prices plus after-sales packages and early bird offers announced.

Besides prices, the launch also saw Neta Auto Malaysia announcing official after-sales packages plus special early bird promotion for the Neta X, the latter lasting until end of this month.
Starting with price, the base 400 Comfort commands an attractive RM119,888 figure, whilst the mid-specced 400 Luxury is tagged at RM127,888. The range-topping 500 Luxury, on the other hand, is priced from RM135,888. Take note, all prices exclude insurance costs.
As for after-sales, all prices include a standard 5-year or 150,000 KM base vehicle warranty, followed by a separate 8-year or 180,000 KM EV battery warranty.

In terms of size, the Neta X sits slightly larger than comparable rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5.
At today’s official launch held at the Menara Affin in the swanky TRX financial and retail district, Neta Auto Malaysia also announced a special introductory promotion for the Neta X. These special early bird perks are being offered to buyers booking the Neta X anytime from July 25 to July 31.
Firstly, Neta Auto Malaysia is offering these customers an additional subsidy double the booking value of RM1,000. Secondly, customers also get to choose between receiving either free charging credits or a complimentary wallbox home charger. Lastly, early bird buyers also benefit with free service maintenance for the first 2 years or up to 40,000 KM (whichever comes first).

All variants share the same 161 HP and 210 NM-rated front-mounted e-motor and FWD setup. They however differ in terms of battery capacities and level of kit.
As a refresher, the Neta X compact EV crossover occupies a footprint slightly larger than rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda 5. All variants adopt a front-mounted single e-motor and front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup rated at 161 HP and 210 NM, altogether enabling 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 9.5 seconds.
The three variants mentioned are separated by both battery capacities – and their subsequent claimed ranges – plus level of equipment. Starting with battery, both 400 variants share the same 51.8 kWh LFP-type battery pack whilst the range-topping 500 Luxury boasts a larger 62 kWh unit.

The Neta X accepts 6.6 AC and 65 kW DC charging inputs, the latter enabling 30-80% re-charges in 30 minutes. With each full charge, the 400 variants offer 401 KM of NEDC-rated range, whilst the 500 Luxury boasts an NEDC-rated 480 KM range instead.
Both batteries accept 6.6 kW AC and up to 96 kW DC charging inputs, the latter enabling 30-80% re-charges in 30 minutes. Present here too is a 3.3 kW-rated vehicle-to-load (V2L) feature than can power various accessories and appliances.
As for range, both the 400 Comfort and 400 Luxury -aptly – boasts an NEDC-rated claimed range of 401 KM, whereas the range-topping 500 Luxury sees a higher 480 KM NEDC range figure instead.

A key feature primed on board is the presence of up to 15 ADAS features which, altogether, enables Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving abilities.
That aside, it’s also worth refreshing your memory that the Neta X kit list includes a slew of notable features, key amongst which being it offer of up to 15 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features enabling Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving.
We’ve detailed the Neta X, available in five exterior colour choices with two interior colourway options, at length when it was first previewed earlier this year, which you can read up on and get up to speed with by clicking these blue words. At these prices, what do you folks reckon? Would this new segment entry sway you away from its other Chinese-made rivals mentioned? Are its after-sales packages convincing enough despite the attractive prices? As usual, hit the comments below, and our social media pages, with your take…
