New Mitsubishi Triton Opened For Bookings – 5 Variants, Est. From RM102,000

MMM has officially opened up the order books for the new third-gen Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck in Malaysia today!
Alas, the wait is almost over, and those yearning for the new third-generation Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck can now book one with Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM). The firm announced today that bookings can be placed both at authorised dealers nationwide and online.
Critically, MMM also shed light into the variants range it plans to offer Malaysian buyers. Notably, the firm has revived the single-cab variant of the Triton for the local market this time around – MMM last offered a single-cab pick-up truck via the Storm model.

A total of five variants will be available, and estimated starting prices range between RM102,000 to RM170,000.
The single-cab is one of five variants MMM plans to offer the Triton in, and current estimated prices will range between RM102,000 to RM170,000. Naturally, the latter ceiling starting price is earmarked for the range-topping Triton Athlete variant.
Apart from the single-cab, all variants of the new Triton adopt the Japanese tri-diamond marque’s new 2.4-litre two-stage turbocharged diesel mill outputting 204 PS and 470 NM. Said mill gets paired with the marque’s signature Super Select 4WD II driveline that’s been upgraded to offer up to 7 selectable drive modes.

Notable here to is the return of the single-cab variant, and it promises class-leading power outputs and cargo bed size.
As for the single-cab variant noted, it gets a more honest and promisingly robust 2.4-litre diesel mill that MMM touts in having best-in-class output figures of 184 PS and 430 NM. Additionally, this variant is also set to boast a massive cargo bed measuring 2,340 MM long and 1,580 MM wide, thus making it the largest in class on this front too.
Other key highlights include the third-gen model’s elevated robust styling inside and out, beefed up exterior body size, the promise of SUV-inspired comforts, as well as enhanced safety. Notably on the safety front, a significantly improved Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package headlines things, plus the presence of Active Yaw Control.

The first 500 customers to book the new Triton via MMM's online showroom will also be rewarded with an exclusive 60-litre folding storage box. Expect more details from the model's official launch that's slated for sometime this month.
In conjunction with the new Triton’s order books opening, MMM has also elected to continue its “Drive Your Ambition Brand Festival” promotion with said new model. Through which, the firm will rewards the first 500 customers booking the new Triton via its online showroom with an exclusive 60-litre folding storage box.
MMM did not shed further details apart from what we just reported, but expect more details once the firm officially launches the new third-gen Mitsubishi Triton. Said launch is expected to take place sometime this month too.
