MG Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) recently held a special mass delivery event at the MG Motor Glenmarie outlet.

SAIC Motor Malaysia (MG Malaysia) revealed today that it recently held a special mass car delivery event at its MG Motor Glenmarie (Mega Galeri Sdn Bhd) outlet.

During which, the firm successfully delivered more than 20 units of its newly launched MG5 fastback saloon to eager and excited owners. Present here too to handover the cars were top management from MG Malaysia led by COO Lee Wen Hsiang.

This single mass-delivery event saw MG Malaysia deliver over 20 units of its newly launched MG5 model to eager and excited new owners.

Additionally, this novel exercise stood as a reflection of the seamless collaboration amongst MG Malaysia’s 18 authorised dealers. The firm adds that this network played a pivotal role in supporting its mission to meet the needs of a dynamic, style-conscious market.

“Through events like these, we’re able to engage directly with our customers, listen to their feedback, and gather meaningful insights into their satisfaction levels,” adds Lee, who also emphasised that how the MG5 truly resonates with a buying crowd that prioritises style and individuality.

Launched back in early Oct, the MG5 is priced at RM93,800, but a special introductory rebate of RM7,000 sees said price lowered to RM86,900 instead.

As a refresher, MG Malaysia officially launched the MG5 fastback saloon offering locally in early Oct this year. Just one fully imported (CBU) variant is on sale now priced at RM93,900, and the firm plans to locally assemble (CKD) the model soon too.

The MG5 is pitched as a stylish value-for-money B-segment sedan alternative with C-segment-like size and perks. It’s powered by 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill paired with an ‘i-CVT’ automatic transmission setup offering respectable outputs of 114 HP and 150 NM to enable 0-100 KM/H sprints in 11.5 secs.

The MG5 packs a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill paired with an i-CVT automatic transmission, altogether outputting 114 HP and 150 NM to enable 0-100 KM/H sprints in 11.5 secs.

It also packs a respectable amount of standard safety equipment that include basics such as six airbags, ABS and ISOFIX childseat anchors amongst many, as well as well the ‘MG Pilot’ advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package.

Also, as part of the MG brand’s centennial (100-year anniversary) celebrations, MG Malaysia currently offers the MG5 with a special RM7,000 rebate, bringing the model’s price down to RM86,900

Said price includes both a 5-year, unlimited mileage base vehicle warranty and a separate 7-year, unlimited mileage powertrain (engine and transmission) warranty coverage too.
