As the year draws to a close, Tesla is ramping up efforts to accelerate its sales in Malaysia with its new EV Switcher Program. This limited-time offer provides a RM10,000 incentive (or “uplift” as Tesla calls it) for customers trading in their ICE vehicles for a Tesla EV.

According to Tesla Malaysia, the EV Switcher Program is tailored to help ICE vehicle owners make an easy transition to any Tesla model while at the same time play their part in lowering the environmental impact and make sustainable transportation more accessible.

The program includes key benefits besides the uplift incentive are such as:

  • Instant Online Valuation: Customers can quickly determine the value of their vehicle using Tesla's quick online valuation tool, which streamlines the trade-in procedure.
  • Easy Transition: ICE owners can easily convert to a Tesla thanks to a smooth, customer-friendly trade-in process.

Rebates and discounts are crucial for brands hoping to secure sales, especially before year-end to either clear sitting stock or to meet their annual target. This end-of-year push in the name of accelerating EV adoption comes as the EV market, while still growing, saw a record influx of new models in 2024.
