The Road Transport Department (JPJ) conducted a surprise operation at all Puspakom centers nationwide. It started from 9:30AM today and involving 350 officers to ensure all vehicles inspected at Puspakom comply with safety standards.

JPJ Enforcement Senior Director Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan stated that the operation was carried out without prior notice to Puspakom as per instructions from Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Loke had called for enforcement in phases where phase one involved the recent highway roadblocks, while phase two will focus on surprise inspections at Puspakom facilities.
