JPJ: Bjak Not Authorised for Road Tax Renewal Transaction
![]()
The Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) has put up an official statement regarding the recent promotions conducted by local auto insurance service provider Bjak on their road tax renewal services.

JPJ’s latest statement reads that the department has not authorised Bjak for road tax renewal transactions.
In said official statement, JPJ stressed that neither the Ministry of Transport (MoT) nor the department itself have authorised Bjak to conduct any road tax renewal transactions. This statement directly refutes the claim made by Bjak that any online road tax renewal services provided by the firm have been approved and audited by the JPJ.

This statement follows several complaints lodged by members of the public, where some customers found that road tax renewal transactions carried out by Bjak had not been reflected in the road tax validity period. JPJ further clarifies that this is because there has been no integration between their MySikap system and the system used by Bjak.
On top of that, the members of the public also complained about the additional charges imposed by Bjak for its road tax renewal services. JPJ has responded that neither the department nor the ministry have approved any additional charges imposed by the firm on its customers.
JPJ continues its official statement by reminding members of the public to always be cautious with any platform offering any kinds of services related to the department. The public is also advised to contact the department for further information, and reports can be made directly via JPJ’s official complaints portal.
