DBKL Trialling Articulated Bus In KL Until Apr 30
DBKL is trialling the use of articulated buses on four routes over the course of four months. The first route is GOKL 01, which travels 7 km from KLCC to Bukit Bintang at a frequency of one hour during peak hours and one hour thirty minutes during off-peak hours from January 1 to January 31.
The second trial route, GOKL 03, will run from February 1 to February 28. It will travel 13 km from the Titiwangsa Hub to KL Sentral at a frequency of one hour during peak hours and one hour thirty minutes during off-peak hours.
The GOKL 08, which is scheduled to go 20.3 kilometres from MRT Kampung Batu to Chow Kit, is the longest route for this trial. Buses run every two hours during peak hours and every two hours and thirty minutes during off-peak hours from March 1 to March 31. The fourth route is the GOKL 10 connecting route, which will go 17 kilometres from Terminal Maluri to Chow Kit at a frequency of 30 minutes during off-peak hours and two hours during peak hours. It will operate from April 1–30.
Additionally, DBKL announced that it is examining the efficiency of articulated buses on these routes in order to evaluate the service's efficacy from the perspective of the customers. The data acquired during this trial will be utilised to assess the vehicles' acceptability in light of public opinion.
