Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali with representatives from Petronas during KPDN's monthly assembly yesterday. Together, both parties have launches its SIM@PAX pilot programme.
The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has teamed with Petronas AutoExpert to launch its new ‘Servis Ihsan Madani @ Petronas AutoExpert (SIM@PAX)’ pilot project.
Revealed this week by its minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, the initiative is set to assist Malaysian motorists on a budget to service their cars at a more affordable rate. The pilot program’s roll-out also coincides with the upcoming Chinese New Year festive holidays.
The programme falls under the Rahmah Madani umbrella initiative, and targets to aid low-income groups facing the challenge of rising living costs through reduced vehicle maintenance costs for them.
Part of KPDN's Rahmah Madani umbrella initiative, SIM@PAX is set to offer 10% to 30% discounts on services for mineral and semi-synthetic lubricants to Malaysians servicing their cars at 130 Petronas AutoExpert outlets nationwide.
"Through this programme, our users, especially those in need, will be able to receive discounts ranging from 10% to 30% on services for mineral and semi-synthetic lubricants," said Armizan to press members yesterday after concluding his ministry’s monthly assembly.
Armizan adds that SIM@PAX will be implemented during each major festival season. This encompasses Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and Aidil Adha, Pesta Kaamatan, Hari Gawai, Deepavali, Christmas Day, as well as National Day. It will also be available through 130 Petronas AutoExpert centres nationwide.
For its first running, SIM@PAX will be available this week from Jan 24 to Jan 28 through 95 Petronas AutoExpert service outlets nationwide ahead of the Chinese New Year festive holidays mentioned. Customers looking to take part in this programme need only to register and set service appointments via the Setel app.
For its first running slated for this week from Han 24 to Jan 28, SIM@PAX will be available across 95 Petronas AutoExpert outlets. Motorists wishing to capitalise on its benefits need only register and set service appointment via the Setel app.
In line with this effort, Armizan also said KPDN's direction sets the implementation of four strategic focus areas – enforcement agility, domestic economic driver, consumer capacity and advocacy, and the National Cost of Living Action Council (NACCOL).
"To ensure that these four focus shifts can be realised strategically, they will also be driven through four driving thrusts, namely government inclusiveness and organisational excellence, industrial commitment, government commitment, and public aspiration and participation," he further added.
