Chery Malaysia has strengthened its presence in the burgeoning East Malaysia regional market by opening four new outlets in Sabah and Sarawak. This move signifies Chery’s commitment to providing greater accessibility and enhanced services to its growing customer base in East Malaysia.

Starting with Sabah, three new outlets have been opened by Chery Malaysia, with the first one in Sandakan operated by dealer-partner Universal Chery Sdn Bhd. Situated at Ground floor, Lot No 1, Taman Wemin, Batu 5, Jalan Labuk, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah, this showroom operates daily from 8 AM to 6 PM on Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays, and from 10 AM to 3 PM on every Sunday and public holiday.

The second Sabah outlet is also operated by dealer-partner Universal Chery Sdn Bhd, where it is located in Tawau. This all-in-one 3S centre offers Chery owners in Sabah a comprehensive buying and servicing experience, with the latter featuring four service bays manned by trained Chery technicians.
Located at TB4005, Taman Berkeley, Batu 1, Jalan Apas, 91000 Tawau, Sabah, the Chery Tawau 3S Centre showroom opens daily from 8.30 AM to 6 PM on Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays, and from 10 AM to 3 PM on every Sunday and public holiday. Meanwhile, the service centre is open from 8 AM to 5 PM on Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Moving on to its final location in Sabah, the Chery Imago Mall Kota Kinabalu outlet is the first of its kind in the state, offering customers a unique viewing and buying experience of Chery cars. Also operated by Universal Chery Sdn Bhd, this Chery boutique outlet is located at Lot G-74-1, Ground Floor of the Imago Mall Kota Kinabalu, opening daily from 10 AM to 8 PM on Monday to Thursday and from 10 AM to 9 PM on Friday to Sunday.

Last but not least, the new Chery Miri 3S outlet in Sarawak is owned and operated by dealer-partner MP Advanced Automotive Sdn Bhd. Situated at Lot 8363-8366, Ground Floor, Block 1 Lambir Land District, Jalan Miri By Pass, 98000 Miri, Sarawak, this dedicated 3S centre spans 892 square metres, featuring up to four service bays staffed by trained Chery technicians.
The Chery Miri 3S showroom opens daily from 8 AM to 5 PM on Monday to Saturday and from 9 AM to 3 PM on every Sunday and public holiday. Meanwhile, the service centre is open from 8 AM to 5 PM on Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays and public holidays.

With these new four outlets, Chery Malaysia now operates four showrooms and two service centres in Sabah, while Sarawak has two showrooms and two service centres in operation along with a body and paint outlet for each state. As of 2024, Chery has a total of 56 showrooms and will continue to grow its network of outlets in 2025 to a total of 65 outlets across Malaysia.

Chery Malaysia Vice President Michael Chew
“Chery is slowly expanding its presence here in Borneo, and we hope to cover more locations across both states. We are eager to grow our network further across Malaysia, providing more Malaysians with the opportunity to own Chery’s range of vehicles.
“With the new outlets in Sabah and Sarawak, we are confident that our Chery customers in the region will continue to receive the best in sales, service, and aftersales support,” said Michael Chew, Vice President of Chery Malaysia.
