The latest victim was the trailer driver, who was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Teluk Intan Hospital.
Hilir Perak police chief ACP Dr Bakri Zainal Abidin confirmed the incident when contacted by the National news portal.
Earlier, director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department Sayani Saidon reported that the FRU truck, which was carrying 15 people at the time of the incident, killed eight FRU personnel.
According to Sayani, rescue operations are underway at the scene on Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam.
"Some victims who were pulled from the vehicle have been sent to Teluk Intan Hospital, but the operation is still being carried out," she said in a NST report.
