Hyundai has teased the upcoming Ioniq 6 N ahead of its debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Following multiple rumours and spy shots, Korean automaker Hyundai has finally confirmed that the manic Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is happening. Published together with this big announcement is a slew of teaser images of this upcoming performance EV saloon, ahead of its global debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

From the official teaser images, we can see that the new Ioniq 6 N is based on the facelifted version, featuring dual-stack LED headlights with slim LED DRLs on the top. Naturally, we can also see that the N model gets a more aggressive bodykit, featuring a sporty front bumper with larger air intakes and a gloss black front lip a la Ioniq 5 N.

Keen eyes will also notice several Hyundai N badges scattered around the car, including on the tailgate and the central cap of the wheel, where we can also see red-hued brake callipers hiding beneath them. Other key design bits we can derive from the teaser images are the swan neck-style rear wing, a second decklid spoiler on the tailgate, and the Hyundai N’s signature Performance Blue paint this car is draped in.

The Ioniq 6 N has been in the works for a few years now, with its first iteration being shown in the Hyundai RN22e concept shown back in 2022. Given how radically different the Ioniq 5 N is compared to its vanilla twin, we can expect the Ioniq 6 N to feature similar changes, with Hyundai describing its development as being centered around three main pillars—Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sports Car.

We can expect the Ioniq 6 N to get the same dual-motor AWD setup as its hatch sibling, which is capable of delivering 601 hp (448 kW), or up to 641 hp (478 kW) when the N Grin Boost is engaged. Similarly, it is also not far-off to expect N-specific gizmos like the simulated dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the artificial sounds to make their way to this performance EV saloon too.

Should the Ioniq 6 N get the same powertrain and mechanical setups as the Ioniq 5 N, this performance EV saloon could potentially outpace its boxy hot-hatch sibling, thanks to its more aerodynamically-optimised design and lower stance. But then again, your guesses are just as good as ours at this point, so better keep your fingers crossed for that to become a reality.

We can expect to learn more about the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 N as we get closer to its Goodwood debut, which is set to take place on July 10, 2025.
