Facelifted Honda HR-V Now Open for Booking – Q3 2025 Launch

Order books for the upcoming Honda HR-V facelift have been opened ahead of its debut in Q3 2025.
It seems like we’re having a B-segment SUV battle on our hands, as in response to Proton’s new X50 registration of interest (ROI) commencement, it seems now Honda Malaysia has opened the order books for the new Honda HR-V facelift. Orders for this best-selling B-SUV can now be made online or at any of Honda Malaysia’s official dealerships nationwide, ahead of its launch in Q3 this year.
Already debuted in Japan as the Vezel, the facelifted HR-V carries some minor design changes over the outgoing model, with the most prominent changes being its new front grille, featuring a sleeker and more minimalist design with cascading slats and inserts.

Also new here are the redesigned rear end that houses new full-width LED taillights, and new 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels the facelifted HR-V rolls on. Not to forget, two new colourways will also be available for the new HR-V, namely Phoenix Orange Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl.
While no on-board photos were shared by Honda Malaysia for now, we know that the Thai-spec HR-V facelift gets a mild cabin equipment upgrade, featuring a redesigned central console, an 8-inch central infotainment screen that now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and many more.

Pre-facelift Honda HR-V V-spec featuring the 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC engine.
Similar to the outgoing model, the facelifted HR-V will be available in three powertrain flavours, with the lineup starting with the baseline 1.5-litre 4-cyl nat-asp L15B producing 121 PS and 145 Nm to the front wheels (FWD) via a CVT automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged VTEC engine is carried over from the current model, still outputting 181 PS and 240 Nm and mated to a CVT gearbox and an FWD setup.

Pre-facelift Honda HR-V e:HEV RS, featuring the 1.5-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrain setup.
Last but not least, the facelifted HR-V will also get the e:HEV parallel hybrid option, featuring Honda’s 1.5-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrain setup. It comprises a 1.5-litre 4-cyl nat-asp Atkinson Cycle petrol engine rated at 105 PS and 127 Nm, which is mated to a single electric motor producing 131 PS and 253 Nm.
Safety-wise, the facelifted HR-V continues to feature the Honda SENSING suite, which features new ADAS functions like Adaptive High Beam and Active Cornering Light.
Since its debut back in 2015, the Honda HR-V has garnered rave receptions among Malaysians, which solidifies its position as the nation’s best-selling non-national B-SUV. As of May 2025, Honda Malaysia has sold over 169,000 HR-Vs in Malaysia, where it remains the brand’s best-selling model so far this year.
