LW Suspension Unveils Melaka’s First Toyo TayarTen Flagship Store
LW Suspension Sdn Bhd marked a major milestone on July 6, 2025, with the grand opening of its new headquarters in Melaka. The new facility also houses the state’s first Toyo TayarTen High-End Flagship Store.
The launch ceremony was officiated by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka, Tun Dr. Mohd Ali Rustam,.
TOYO TayarTen is more than just a modern tyre retail outlet. It is a future-ready facility that brings together environmental values, mobility innovation, and digital transformation.
According to Chan Seng Chai, President and Managing Director of Toyo Tyre and Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the new store introduces a brand concept that blends Malaysian culture with Japanese technology.
The name TayarTen reflects this fusion - “Tayar” meaning tyre in Malay, and “Ten” (店) meaning shop in Japanese. It represents the strategic partnership between TOYO Tires and its local collaborators.
The flagship store embodies TOYO’s 3E Philosophy: Eco Mobility, E-Hub, and Expert Care. It also showcases TOYO’s latest Proxes tyre series, designed specifically for EVs. These tyres offer high performance and ride comfort, in line with the evolving demands of sustainable mobility.
Behind the success of LW Suspension is the husband-and-wife team of Lim Wai Heong and Soo Pei Er, who co-founded the company in 2016. Lim, the eldest son of veteran industry leader Lim Kim Hock, President of the Melaka Tyre Dealers Association, is continuing the family legacy with a forward-thinking approach.
A qualified pilot and seasoned 4x4 off-road racer, Lim is no stranger to challenges. In 2011, he led his team to win the Rainforest Challenge World Championship, a prestigious global off-road event. His technical know-how and competitive spirit now drive the growth of LW Suspension.
Over the past nine years, LW Suspension has expanded from a single location to four branches across Melaka, in Jinjang, Tanjung Minyak, Durian Tunggal, and Jasin. The company is also the exclusive national distributor for RedPhoenix 4x4 suspension systems and offers a wide array of automotive services, including electric vehicle tyres, suspension systems, electrical components, hybrid servicing, lubricants, and general repairs.
Guided by the philosophy of “Quality Builds Trust, Innovation Drives Growth, and Education Shapes the Future,” the company is on a mission to make high-quality auto parts affordable and accessible, nurture local technical talent and build Malaysia’s next-generation automotive and tyre hub.
With support from Toyo Tires, LW Suspension is well-placed to further expand its influence in the Malaysian automotive landscape, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction and long-term sustainability.
