Seremban folks, be ready for a few traffic changes this week as the city gears up for National Day celebrations at Padang Majlis Bandaraya Seremban, Jalan Yam Tuan.

Several key roads will be closed from Friday (Aug 29) and Sunday (Aug 31) to make way for rehearsals and the big day itself.

Closures will run from 7AM to 12PM on Wednesday, and 6AM to 12PM on Friday and Sunday, said Seremban police chief ACP Mohammad Hatta Che Din. WhatsApp-Image-2020-01-23-at-09.37.54.jpeg
“The parade will pass through Jalan Berhala, Jalan Dato Hamzah, Jalan Yam Tuan, Jalan Dato’ Sheikh Ahmad and Jalan Dato’ Bandar Tunggal. Roads connected to these stretches, such as Lorong Jawa, Jalan Lee Kee Seong and the Istana Roundabout, will also be closed,” he said.

But don’t worry. There are alternative routes. Motorists can instead use Jalan Tunku Munawir, Jalan Dato Lee Fong Yee, Jalan Tunku Hassan, Jalan Dato Abdul Malek, Jalan Dato Abdul Kadir and Jalan Tun Abdul Said. Untitled-design---2025-08-29T132744.647.png
Mohammad Hatta urged road users to follow traffic personnel’s directions and plan ahead to avoid being caught in long queues.

Those needing assistance or further details can reach the Seremban Police Headquarters Operations Room at 06-6033477 or 06-6014999.
