Road Detours & Diversions In KL July 4-7 & 8-11 For ASEAN Meeting

With Malaysia continuing to serve the ASEAN 2025 Chairmanship, motorists and residents in the greater Kuala Lumpur area ought to brace for another round of road detours and diversions set for this month.
In fact, a series of said detours and diversions are set to occur on selected key roads starting this week from July 4 to July 7, followed by another round from July 8 to July 11. This is to facilitate the upcoming scheduled ASEAN foreign ministers meetings.
This was officially revealed by the Bukit Aman traffic enforcement and investigation department (JSPT) arm of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) via an official statement issued earlier today via multiple channels – official JSPT Facebook page online included.

Through which, Bukit Aman JSPT director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri says the initial dry run, which is being held this weekend, involves 391 junior and senior officers. He adds that diversions and detours during which will be carried out in stages too.
Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri then detailed that the full deployment of road diversions slated from July 8 to July 11 will also be carried out in stages too, and will affect three highways and 15 main roads in and around the Klang Valley.
Here’s the full list of road detours and diversions, which will be conducted in stages from July 7 onwards:




Based on the information provided above, motorists and commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advanced and are encouraged to use public transportation. This will ease efforts in allowing delegation motorcades to pass through the affected roads.
Additionally, through the same statement, Bukit Aman JSPT also moots for commercial and heavy vehicles not to enter the Kuala Lumpur city centre throughout the duration of the road detours and diversions detailed, especially during peak times.
