With an annual capacity of 12,000 units, the plant is also assembling the Solo 2 and Solo 3 models. web_CariCarz_TA_MAS2025_Blueshark_SoloEra_-1-full.jpg

Solo 1C (far right) has received more than 6,000 registrations in just a month of its RM599 pre-launch campaign.

The launch was attended by MITI, MARii, MIDF, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) and Blueshark, with MITI Deputy Secretary General (Industry) Datuk Hanafi Sakri calling it a “breakthrough achievement” that will boost Malaysia’s electrification targets.

Others shared the same optimism. MARii CEO Azrul Reza Aziz said, “The local production of the Solo 1C demonstrates how industry players can leverage national incentives, such as the MARiiCas rebate programme, along with technological innovation, to make electromobility attainable for all Malaysians”.

EPMB’s Executive Director Aidan Hamidon added that the start of SoloEra production cements the company’s position at the forefront of energy-efficient vehicle manufacturing and next-generation mobility solutions.

Building on this point, PDB COO Azureen Azita Abdullah highlighted that the milestone also strengthens its partnership with Blueshark and EPMB in creating a future-ready mobility ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Blueshark Malaysia CEO Jeff Chong described the launch as a proud moment for the company and its partners.  Photo-2-(8).jpg
“We’re turning our vision for affordable, sustainable mobility into reality,” he said, adding that Blueshark, together with EPMB and PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, is committed to expanding Malaysia’s electromobility ecosystem.

The Solo 1C has already drawn strong interest, with more than 6,000 registrations in just a month of its RM599 pre-launch campaign, supported by Mesra Rewards, Setel and MARiiCas rebates.
