RTS & ETS Projects On Track For 2025-2026 Completion

The Johor-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) project is running on schedule and is expected to be fully operational by December 2026, said Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
In a statement reported by The Independent SG, Tunku Ismail shared that the state’s rail connectivity plans are moving forward smoothly, with construction milestones being met.

“Construction of the double-track Electric Train Service (ETS) line to Johor Bahru has now reached 99.48% completion
“With the service recently extended to Kluang at the end of last month, we are expecting the ETS to officially connect to Johor Bahru by December this year,” he said.
Road projects are also underway to ease traffic flow in southern Johor.

Upgrades to the North-South Expressway (PLUS) are being rolled out in phases with Phase 1, Package A began in June 2023 and is slated to wrap up by June 2025, while Package B, which kicked off this June, should finish by December 2025.
The first phase of the Senai-Desaru Expressway upgrading works, which started in November 2023, is also moving along and targeted for completion in April next year.
