APAD Orders Aeroline To Halt Services Over Repeated Non-Compliance

Luxury coach operator Aeroline will suspend all services from Nov 6 to Dec 5, following a directive from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).
In a notice posted on Facebook, the company said the move was linked to its continued use of its own boarding points including Corus KLCC, 1 Utama and Sunway Pyramid instead of relocating to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) as instructed by authorities.
“We wish to inform you, with sincere regret, that we have received a directive from APAD requiring us to temporarily suspend all scheduled trips,” Aeroline wrote.
The company added that it is appealing the decision and will offer full refunds or allow passengers to reschedule their trips.
APAD confirmed the suspension, saying the operator had repeatedly failed to comply with regulations despite three show-cause letters issued between March and Oct.

It stated the action was necessary to ensure passenger safety, reduce traffic congestion and support a more organised transport system in city areas.
The announcement quickly drew hundreds of reactions on Aeroline’s Facebook page, with many passengers expressing disappointment.
“Been taking Aeroline for years since I don’t have to go all the way to TBS. Plus good service and comfortable bus. Hope Aeroline can resume services at its current locations,” wrote Laura Lee.
Another user, Kee Lan, commented. “Is Aeroline being taken to task for being reliable and efficient? At the end of the day, it is still the customer’s choice to use their preferred service.”
Aeroline, which operates routes between Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Singapore, has been in service for over 20 years.
