Gentari Go 2.0: Real-Time Updates, Rewards, and Smarter Charging

After introducing the Trip Planner feature in January, Gentari has now taken its mobile app to the next level with Gentari Go 2.0. The update brings a host of improvements designed to make EV journeys across Malaysia easier and more enjoyable.
Building on the Trip Planner’s success, Gentari Go 2.0 combines charger discovery, route planning, and real-time updates into a single, user-friendly platform.

The app now features a refreshed interface, smarter charger search, and extended support hours from 7 AM to midnight, giving drivers more confidence when exploring Malaysia’s growing EV network.
Gentari Go 2.0 isn’t just about improving the user experience. It also strengthens the platform for industry partners. The app connects to over 9,000 charge points across 27 charge point operators and 7 eMSPs, supporting seamless roaming across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and India.

New in-app branding options let OEMs, retailers, and lifestyle partners engage EV users through featured placements, branded map layers, and targeted promotions.
For drivers, every trip becomes simpler. You can find chargers, rewards, and destinations in a single view, filter stations by speed, brand, perks, or availability, and see session duration, timing, and cost before you start charging.

At Carz.com.my, we especially appreciate the real-time updates, including Live Activities that appear directly on the lock screen. They keep drivers informed at every stage of their journey and allow you to monitor your vehicle’s state of charge in real time.
Gentari Go 2.0 also brings rewards beyond charging. Users can redeem Gentari Go Points with partner brands such as Baskin Robbins, Häagen-Dazs, Tealive, ZUS Coffee, and Regal Valet. New users updating to the app get 10% off their next charging session, with more perks planned in the near future.

By making charging more accessible, transparent, and convenient, Gentari Go 2.0 reflects the company’s commitment to supporting green mobility in Malaysia. The app now makes it easier for EV owners to travel with confidence, while giving partners a flexible platform to connect with a growing EV community.
