Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd (Gentari) has launched its own new mobile app, Gentari Go, which aims to provide customers with a comprehensive clean energy experience.

The app, which is currently only available in Malaysia, will be made available to users in Southeast Asia and India in the coming months. Its goal is to integrate Gentari's clean energy ecosystem, with a focus on green mobility and renewable energy solutions.

Deputy CEO of Gentari and CEO of Gentari Green Mobility, Shah Yang Razalli envisions Gentari Go as the go-to platform for individuals and businesses starting their clean energy journey. With a focus on meeting consumer needs, the app provides a user-friendly interface and seamless integration of clean energy, which extends beyond EV charging to home energy solutions.

Gentari Go provides a seamless and intuitive EV charging experience, built on Gentari's green mobility pillar as the foundation. It's an EV charging experience designed in Asia, for Asians.

Shah Yang Razalli further added, "Gentari Go provides simple, elegant interfaces that guide first-time users through the discovery, activation, and payment processes with ease. For experienced users, we've included advanced features such as our charging curve, which provides real-time insights into energy consumption during charging sessions."

The app's reach extends throughout Malaysia thanks to partnerships with EV Connection and ChargeEV, which provide users with access to 70% of charging points nationwide. It would also enable cross-border EV charging from Singapore to Thailand.

This initiative, thanks to partnerships with regional Charging Point Operators (CPOs), provides access to more than 2,000 chargers throughout the region.

Additionally, Gentari Go would also facilitate EV rentals through its collaboration with GoCar, easing the transition from traditional vehicles to EVs for many. Cars offered for rent via the app are Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe, Hyundai Kona, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ora Good Cat, Mini EV and Tesla Model Y.

Gentari Go will adopt a sustainable lifestyle by incorporating renewable energy solutions such as home EV charging and solar power. Users receive rewards and points for using the platform and contributing to clean energy initiatives. Those interested in a Gentari home charger, you can now get a 7 kW unit via the app at a low price of RM2,600 excluding installation.

Furthermore, Gentari Go provides opportunities for businesses in the green energy sector, such as fleet operators and CPOs. Fleet operators benefit from having access to a larger charging network and telematics support, while CPOs could increase their appeal by joining Gentari Go's roaming network.

Premise owners interested in becoming CPOs can use Gentari Go's CPO-in-a-Box Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution, which includes management tools and guidance. Meanwhile, automotive corporations and OEMs can use Gentari Go's microservices to provide tailored services to customers, such as auto-charging and in-car solutions.

The Gentari Go app is currently available in Malaysia on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users can take advantage of a 10% discount on their next ten (10) charging transactions through the Gentari Go app.
