After being previewed locally last week, the Denza D9 all-electric premium MPV officially launched earlier today. For the uninitiated, Denza is the premium luxury sub-brand of BYD, and it is distributed alongside in a similar local structure (Denza Malaysia) with partners Sime Motors.
As detailed prior, the Denza D9 sees two variants offered locally – base Advanced FWD and Premium AWD above which. Revealed today were the prices for both, which reads at RM259,000 and RM309,000 respectively.

For Malaysia, two variants of the Denza D9 are offered - Advanced FWD and Premium AWD.
Interestingly, Denza Malaysia also includes a market first cross-border warranty service and coverage for Malaysian customers, as well as its existing customers in neighbouring Singapore and Thailand.
Besides that, Denza Malaysia also readied an early bird package for the first 800 customers. This package sees buyers rewarded with a free 22 kW wallbox charger, followed by a complimentary 6 years or 120,000 KM service package, as well as exclusive merchandise in the form of Denza-branded neck and waist pillows and luggage set.
According to Denza Malaysia, this cross-border warranty in the three countries ensures transparent and reasonable costs, adopting local service charges standard, eliminating hidden fees. Additionally, customers can also enjoy a range of value-added services that includes roadside assistance.

Revealed today were the model's base prices of RM259,000 and RM309,000. Also announced was a market-first cross-border warranty service and coverage, as well as an early bird package for the first 800 customers.
As a refresher, both variants of the Denza D9 launched locally share the same 103.3 kWh LFP ‘Blade’ battery pack that juices a single- (front, D9 Advanced FWD) and dual-motor (Premium AWD) setups. Outputs are rated at 308 HP and 360 NM, and 369 HP and 470 NM, respectively.
The quickest of the duo despatches 0-100 KM/H in just 6.9 secs whilst the most efficient boasts an NEDC-rated range of up to 600 KM. As for charging, both variants feature 11 kW AC and 166 kW DC charging abilities, the latter promising 30-80% re-charges in just 30 minutes.

Both variants share the same 7-seat (three-row) cabin layout, and both are also decked out with a tonne of premium features and luxurious amenities.
Sitting some 5,250 MM long with a 3,110 MM wheelbase, 1,960 MM wide, and 1,920 MM tall, the Denza D9 is marketed in Malaysia exclusively with a 7-seat (3-rows) layout on board. As recounted, there are lots of premium amenities brimmed aboard both variants.
