AirAsia Fixed Fares from RM328 for CNY & Raya 2026

Transport Minister Anthony Loke today reaffirmed the government’s commitment to keeping festive travel affordable and accessible for Malaysians, as the country prepares to celebrate both the Lunar New Year and Hari Raya in close succession.
Speaking at RedQ, Loke said the festive period is among the most important times of the year, when families make every effort to reunite across cities, states and regions. Ensuring reliable and reasonably priced connectivity during peak travel seasons, he stressed, remains a key government priority.
He welcomed AirAsia’s continued role in supporting these efforts, particularly through its fixed fares initiative, which provides travellers with greater certainty when planning their journeys home. This is especially important for passengers travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Sabah and Sarawak, where demand typically surges during major festivals.

Loke also highlighted the continuation of the RM400 FLYsiswa voucher programme this year, aimed at easing travel costs for students commuting between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia. He said the initiative reflects the government’s broader commitment to mobility and equal opportunities for young Malaysians, regardless of where they study or come from.
Acknowledging AirAsia’s contribution, Loke noted that the airline’s fixed fares initiative has enabled hundreds of thousands of Malaysians to return home at stable and predictable prices over recent festive periods, even during peak demand.

He officially announced that fixed fares for the upcoming festive travel period have been set at RM328 for flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak, and RM398 for flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sabah.
Over the past three years, AirAsia has made available more than 137,000 fixed-fare seats for travel between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak, supported by 761 additional flights to East Malaysia to meet rising demand.
With Ramadan and Hari Raya approaching soon after the Lunar New Year, Loke said affordable connectivity plays a vital role in supporting cherished traditions such as balik kampung.
