KSM Announces New Prices & Warranties For 2026 Kia Sportage, Carnival & EV9
Top management of Kia Sales Malaysia led by MD Emily Lek (third from left) presenting themselves to local press during last month.

Having officially commenced operations yesterday (Jan 1, 2026), Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) officially released new revised pricing and warranty schemes for its three core models earlier today too.
As a refresher, the new principal-led entity takes over from previous distributors BAuto (Dinamikjaya Motors) with a slimmed down range consisting of the locally built (CKD) Sportage C-SUV and Carnival MPV duo, as well as the EV9 fully imported (CBU) flagship EV SUV.
There are price revision across all three models on offer through KSM, as well as altered warranty and after-sales schemes.

Though there are price reductions across the entire range, there are some key revisions – read: omissions – to note in between it all too. With the EV9 model specifically, there’s also a big question mark hanging over new CBU EV import and excise duties still.
Apart from that, KSM also announced changes to spare parts pricing, new customer loyalty program plus new corporate fleet schemes which we’ll detail separately here. For now, here's what you ought to know on the products front.
The Carnival has been slimmed down to just two variants - 7- and 8-seater choices. It's now priced lower at RM193,000 and RM218,000 respectively.

Sportage & Carnival – Lower Prices, New Warranties & After Sales
We’ll start with the promising bits first, and it stems from both the Kulim-built fifth-generation Sportage and fourth-generation Carnival duo – both still in current pre-facelift forms (face-lifted versions of both the C-SUV and MPV are already marketed overseas).
Firstly, the Carnival range has slimmed down to just two variants now, those being the 7-seater and 8-seater choices. The 11-seater variant previously offered by BAuto seems to have been axed, though we won’t discount a possible return at a later stage.
They are now priced lower at RM218,000 (8-seater) and RM193,000 (7-seater) marking sizeable reductions from RM259,888 and RM245,888 respectively prior. For reference, the discontinued 11-seater was previously tagged at RM198,500.
Like the Carnival, the also CKD-built Sportage also see its prices lowered. Both model however no longer come with free scheduled maintenance offered prior by BAuto.

Moving to the Sportage, the four-variant line-up from before has been retained, as are the two powertrain choices – the latter encompassing a 2.0-litre 4-cyl petrol nat-asp and higher-end 1.6-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mills.
Prices have been lowered here too, and it now reads at RM128,000 (2.0G 2WD), RM138,000 (2.0G 2WD HI), RM158,000 (1.6T 2WD HI) and RM178,000 (1.6T 4WD HI). For reference, prices for this C-SUV previously ranged between RM RM145,999 and RM185,999.
We reckon the lowered prices for both models stems from one key revision – or omission, if you will – that being the absence of a free scheduled maintenance scheme. Instead, KSM now just offers a slightly extended 5-year or 150,000 KM vehicle warranty coverage.

Full pricing schemes for both the Kia Sportage and Kia Carnival.

For reference, BAuto previously offered both models with both a 5-year or 100,000 KM warranty and free scheduled maintenance deal. How this will affect prospecting buyers and their decisions in the coming months will be interesting to observe indeed.
Things appear pretty much status quo for the EV9 for now as we still await new CBU EV import and excise duties to be announced by MITI soon.

Kia EV9 – Marginally Lower Prices… But For How Long?
Moving to the EV9, which now stands as KSM’s flagship EV SUV offering, it now see prices being marginally lowered. It now reads at RM368,000 for the 7-seater variant and RM373,000 for the 6-seater choice – both specced in GT-Line AWD guise.
For reference, BAuto previously tagged both at RM369,668 and RM374,668 respectively. Given the marginal differences, we’ll stress that said prices may still be incentivised, perhaps for existing stocks imported before Dec 28, 2025. Expect prices to increase once new CBU EV import and excise duties schemes are announced by MITI.
Full pricing scheme for Kia EV9. Expect this change as soon as new CBU EV import and excise duties scheme is announced.

Thankfully, what goes unchanged are warranties for this CBU EV offering, which consists of a 5-year or 150,000 KM base vehicle coverage, followed by a separate 8-year or 160,000 KM coverage for the EV battery.
As a refresher, both variants of the EV9 GT-Line AWD share a dual-motor driveline juiced by a 99.8 kWh battery pack. Outputting 380 hp and 700 Nm, this setup enables 0-100 km/h dashes in just 5.3 secs plus a claimed WLTP maximum range of 505 KM.
