Proton Wants to Forgive Your “Service Sins” from RM120

Let’s be honest. We’ve all been there. You bought your Proton Persona, Iriz, or X70 back in 2019. For the first few years, you were a "Gold Star" owner, servicing on time, every time.
Then, the warranty expired. Life got busy. Maybe you skipped one service, then two. Suddenly, it’s been 12 months (or more) since your car saw a professional technician. You’re worried about the cost, the "lectures" from the service advisor, and whether your car is even safe anymore. Well, from 30 March to 30 June 2026, PROTON is offering a "Clean Slate" for owners of 2018–2021 models.
1. The "Fresh Start" Package: What’s the Catch?
The campaign is specifically targeted at those who have "strayed." If your Proton was registered between January 2018 and January 2021 and your service record has lapsed for over a year, you are eligible for a heavily discounted "Redemption" service.
- For Persona, Iriz, Exora, and Saga: Packages start from just RM120 (using semi-synthetic oil).
- For the X-Series (X50/X70/X90): Packages start from RM216.
This isn't just a "cheap oil change." It includes the oil filter, labor, and, most importantly, a complimentary 40-point safety inspection.
2. The 40-Point Audit: More Than Just Oil

If you’ve been servicing at a "Bawah Pokok" workshop to save a few Ringgit, you might be missing the "Big Picture." A standard workshop might change your oil, but do they have the specialized diagnostic tools for your X70’s ADAS system or the Persona’s CVT health?
The 40-point check covering areas such as the braking systems, battery health and tyre condition.
3. Goodbye Service Grumbles
One of the biggest reasons owners stay away is the "experience." PROTON is trying to change that in 2026 with the Service Experience QR (SEQR).
Every one of the 190 authorized outlets now has a digital feedback loop. If the service is slow or the advisor is pushy, you can report it instantly. It’s a bold move to prove they are listening to the 700,000+ people currently in the local ecosystem.
4. The "Fast Service" Promise
Worried about losing your whole Saturday? PROTON has implemented "Fast Service" for basic maintenance. The goal is 90 minutes from check-in to key handover. For a car that’s been neglected for a year, 90 minutes is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
The Verdict: Is it Worth It?
If your 2018–2021 Proton has been "living on the edge" with missed services, this is your best chance to restore its health without breaking the bank.
At RM120, it’s cheaper than a fancy dinner, but it could save you thousands in major repairs (or insurance headaches) down the road. It’s time to stop the "Service Sins" and get your car back into the official system.
