GWM Malaysia's Next Big Move Isn't A New Car. It's All About Owners
GWM Malaysia's latest announcement isn't about another new car. Instead, the brand is strengthening something that matters long after a vehicle leaves the showroom: its sales and aftersales network.
The company has officially opened two outlets in Skudai, Johor, and Equine Park, Selangor, bringing its nationwide network to more than 40 locations.
The expansion comes as GWM reports 5,165 vehicle deliveries in the first nine months of 2026, up 33% year-on-year. With more vehicles reaching Malaysian roads, convenient access to servicing and ownership support is becoming increasingly relevant.
TL;DR: GWM'S LATEST EXPANSION
New outlets: Skudai, Johor and Equine Park, Selangor.
Nationwide network: More than 40 outlets.
2026 deliveries: 5,165 vehicles through Q3, up 33% year-on-year.
GWM Skudai officially opened on 8 October 2026, followed by the official inauguration of GWM Equine Park on 10 October. Both facilities expand access to GWM's vehicles and aftersales services, particularly for customers in Johor Bahru, Seri Kembangan, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
According to GWM Malaysia, the network expansion is accompanied by continued investment in technical training, spare-parts availability and workshop capabilities to support its growing range of petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Operated by Auto Elegance Sdn. Bhd., GWM Skudai is a 22,006 sq. ft. 3S facility combining sales, service and spare parts. It features three service bays, advanced diagnostic equipment and an EV charging station, with a stated servicing capacity of approximately 150 vehicles monthly.
Meanwhile, GWM Equine Park, operated by Golden Admiral Motors Sdn. Bhd., combines separate showroom and service premises covering approximately 9,431 sq. ft.
Its service centre features four vehicle hoists, tyre balancing, wheel alignment and diagnostic equipment, with workshop capabilities for ICE, HEV, PHEV and EV models.
Interestingly, Equine Park was already serving customers before its October inauguration. Showroom operations began on 6 April 2026, followed by the service centre on 10 August.

| Feature | Skudai | Equine Park |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Johor Bahru | Seri Kembangan |

| Key Equipment | EV charging, diagnostics | Wheel alignment, tyre balancing, diagnostics |
With its Malaysian portfolio spanning HAVAL, TANK, ORA and WEY, GWM's growing network is intended to make sales and aftersales services more accessible to customers.
The expansion also comes at a time when GWM Malaysia reports a 33% year-on-year increase in vehicle deliveries, highlighting the importance of supporting a growing customer base.
For existing and prospective owners, the latest openings mean more locations for vehicle enquiries, servicing and maintenance. Of course, the actual ownership experience will still depend on factors such as service quality, appointment availability and parts support.
Nevertheless, GWM's latest move shows that its Malaysian expansion isn't just about introducing more vehicles. It's also about building the network needed to support them.
