5 'Hidden' Details In The New Lotus MY27 That Make It Feel Like A RM1 Million Car

Lotus has effectively "deleted" the options list by taking the coolest features from their top-tier hypercars and giving them to the 600 Series for free. It’s a total glow-up that turns these EVs into genuine head-turners that look, feel, and stop like they cost RM1 million. Here are the 5 major upgrades we discovered during our shoot.

1. The 'Jasper' Nappa Leather Glow-Up

The first thing you’ll notice when you open the door is the unmistakable scent of premium luxury. In previous versions, the 600 Series came with "LotusWear" performance fabric, which was practical but lacked that high-end "boss" feel.

For the MY27, Lotus has replaced the synthetic fabric with buttery-soft Nappa Leather in a sophisticated Jasper finish as standard. This is the exact same high-grade hide you’d find in a bespoke supercar, shifting the cabin vibe from "sporty-minimalist" to "Quiet Luxury" the second you sit down.
2. The "Dancing" Active Rear Spoiler

Usually, active aerodynamics are a "flex" reserved for million-ringgit track beasts. Previously, the 600 Series often featured a fixed aero setup, but the MY27 now replaces that static look with a multi-stage Active Rear Spoiler as standard equipment.

Watching it deploy in your rearview mirror is a total "Main Character" moment; it adds a layer of visual drama and technical sophistication that makes the car look like it’s worth double its actual price tag.
3. Dark Tri-Colour Seatbelts

It’s the small things that usually signal an expensive custom build. While the older models came with standard, plain black seatbelts, the MY27 swaps them out for boutique-style dark tri-colour seatbelts that perfectly match the new Jasper interior.
In the world of luxury cars, custom-weaved webbing like this is usually a hidden cost in an "Exclusive" or "Individual" catalog. Including it as standard proves that Lotus is now obsessing over the tactile details you interact with every single day.
4. 22" Diamond Turned Rims & 6-Piston Brakes

The stance of a car can make or break its "supercar" status. The MY27 Eletre 600 replaces the smaller 20-inch base wheels with massive 22-inch Diamond Turned rims wrapped in sticky Pirelli P Zero rubber.

To fill out that aggressive profile, they’ve also included six-piston front calipers, available in Red or Black, providing the kind of massive stopping power and "track-ready" look that you’d normally only see on top-tier performance flagships.
5. Configurable Ambient Lighting

The interior experience is no longer a one-size-fits-all affair. Where the previous entry-level models had fixed, single-tone white lighting, the MY27 now features fully Configurable Ambient Lighting as standard.

This allows you to paint the cabin in whatever mood fits your drive. When you pair this light show with the 29-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) and the KEF Premium Audio system, the cockpit stops feeling like a standard car and starts feeling like a futuristic million-ringgit spaceship.
Better Value, No "Options" Required

Lotus Eletre 600
With the Lotus Emeya 600 starting at RM489,000 and the Eletre 600 at RM499,000, the MY27 represents an incredible value jump. By making these high-end features standard, Lotus Malaysia has essentially deleted the "options list", giving you the million-ringgit look and feel without the million-ringgit bill.
