2027 Proton S70 RS Confirmed: New Look, New Cabin And 7.5s Sprint
Remember the Proton S70 RS facelift spotted last month? Well, Proton has now made it official, confirming the 2027 Proton S70 RS with a redesigned cabin, sportier styling and a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds. The RS badge, meanwhile, stands for Refined Sportiness.

- Exterior: Redesigned bumpers, red accents and 17-inch alloy wheels.

A New Cabin For The 2027 Proton S70 RS
The biggest changes appear inside, where Proton has confirmed a Commander Dial and Automatic Column Shifter, alongside a floating centre console, ambient lighting and a dual-tone interior with red accents.
These details support some of the earlier facelift sightings, although the full dashboard layout, infotainment specifications and exact functions of the Commander Dial have yet to be fully detailed.
Sportier Styling, Familiar Turbo Performance
The RS gets a redesigned grille and bumpers, red accents, side skirts, 17-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, plus a rear diffuser and quad exhaust-tip finishers.
Under the bonnet, Proton confirms a 1.5-litre i-GT turbo engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), delivering a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds.
That figure is already familiar from the 2026 Proton S70 MC1. Proton also mentions refinements to the RS's driving dynamics, but has yet to explain the specific changes.
When Will The 2027 Proton S70 RS Launch In Malaysia?
Proton will hold a 2027 S70 RS line-off reveal on 10 November 2026 at 8 PM, accompanied by a fashion showcase livestreamed on its official social media platforms.
However, pricing, full specifications and the official market launch date remain unannounced.
