The current Standard uses a 42.3 KWH LFP battery and a 400-VOLT electrical architecture.

Dongfeng Malaysia quotes an estimated 430 KM range. This corresponds to the original 430 KM CLTC figure, so real-world and WLTP-equivalent range will be lower.

Maximum AC charging input is 6.6 KW, while CCS2 DC fast charging reaches 70 KW.

The battery can recharge from approximately 30-80% in around 30 minutes under suitable conditions.

A 3.6 KW V2L system is also supported.

Standard equipment includes keyless entry and start, automatic headlamps, electrically folding mirrors and four one-touch electric windows.

A wireless smartphone charger, Electronic Parking Brake and remote hatch release are also included.

The vehicle’s proximity locking and unlocking system further improves everyday convenience.

The Malaysian Dongfeng Box does not feature dedicated rear air-conditioning vents.

A single-zone automatic climate-control system provides cooling through the front dashboard outlets.

The Box uses MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion-beam rear arrangement.

Its modest 1,342 KG kerb weight, long wheelbase and relatively high-profile 215/55 R17 tyres contribute to a comfort-focused urban ride.

The current RM100,000 Standard uses a 94 HP and 160 NM front motor with a 42.3 KWH LFP battery, while its claimed 430 KM CLTC range is useful on paper for a relatively small battery.

Equipment remains one of its strongest points, including a 12.8-inch touchscreen, 50 W wireless charging, 32-colour ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Parking Assist.

However, the Box now faces considerably stronger competition around RM100,000. Its 94 HP output, 70 KW DC charging and especially its two-airbag passive-safety specification are difficult to overlook beside newer rivals offering considerably more power and six or more airbags.

The Malaysian model is also currently advertised as having limited units remaining, suggesting the present Box is approaching the end of its local sales run.
