Reviews

Summary

The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II is the updated version of the marque’s fully electric ultra-luxury super coupé, retaining its distinctive fastback design while receiving substantial battery, performance and Bespoke upgrades.

Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system now produces 442 KW (593 HP) and 1,015 NM, while a new 112.4 KWH battery extends WLTP range to between 582 KM and 628 KM.

As of August 2026, Rolls-Royce lists the Spectre Series II on its Kuala Lumpur website, but there is currently no authorised Rolls-Royce dealer partner in Kuala Lumpur and no official Malaysian Series II price has been published.

Interior

Dashboard

The Series II introduces an updated fascia extending almost the full width of the cabin.

Its new Illuminated Fascia incorporates 8,108 individual pixel-like illuminations, while the Clock Gallery now incorporates a new aviation-inspired analogue timepiece and an illuminated stainless-steel Spirit of Ecstasy figurine.

Centre Console

The centre console retains a clean, substantial layout with physical controls integrated alongside Rolls-Royce’s digital SPIRIT interface.

Material choices, veneers and finishing can be individually commissioned through the marque’s extensive Bespoke programme.

Instrument Cluster

Driver information is presented through Rolls-Royce’s fully digital SPIRIT architecture.

Display colours can be matched to the vehicle’s chosen interior specification, extending Bespoke customisation into the digital instrument graphics.

Seats

The four individual seats can be extensively personalised through leather, embroidery, piping and contrasting trim.

Series II additionally introduces Duality Twill, a bamboo-derived rayon fabric that can incorporate up to 2.6 million stitches, while new Placed Perforation leather can create intricate artwork using tens of thousands of individually cut perforations.

Space

Spectre Series II remains a large four-seat two-door grand tourer with a 3,210 MM wheelbase.

Its generous proportions provide substantial front and rear passenger space despite the dramatic fastback roofline.

Steering Functions

The multifunction steering wheel integrates controls for vehicle, audio and driver-assistance functions.

A column-mounted drive selector keeps the centre console uncluttered, while regenerative braking intensity can be increased through the dedicated Brake Mode function.

Storage Space

Storage spaces are incorporated throughout the cabin, including the centre console, glove compartment and door areas.

The large two-door layout also provides useful rear-passenger storage within the individually configured cabin.

Cup Holders

Cup holders are integrated discreetly within the centre-console and armrest areas, in keeping with the Spectre’s minimalist luxury presentation.

Their surrounding materials and finishes can vary depending on the individual Bespoke commission.

Charging Ports

Cabin charging provisions are incorporated discreetly within the interior for connected devices.

The vehicle itself supports both high-power AC and DC charging through its external charging connection.

Build Quality

Spectre Series II significantly expands Rolls-Royce’s material and craftsmanship portfolio.

Besides Duality Twill and Placed Perforation leather, clients can commission Brindled Walnut, which combines walnut and eucalyptus fibres beneath a glass-flake-infused lacquer to create a highly distinctive finish.

Boot Space

The Spectre provides approximately 380 L of rear luggage capacity, sufficient for grand-touring luggage despite the space occupied by its large electric drivetrain and battery system.

The rear luggage compartment can also be complemented by bespoke Rolls-Royce luggage collections.

Exterior

Body Dimensions

The Spectre Series II measures 5,490 MM long, 2,015 MM wide excluding mirrors and 1,585 MM tall, while its wheelbase spans 3,210 MM.

Width including the mirrors is 2,144 MM, turning circle measures 12.7 M and kerb weight stands at approximately 2,925 KG. It features two coach doors and seating for four occupants.

Front View

The Series II retains Spectre’s imposing front treatment, featuring Rolls-Royce’s broad illuminated Pantheon grille, an aerodynamically optimised Spirit of Ecstasy mascot and its signature split-light arrangement.

The update intentionally preserves the original car’s exterior design, with Rolls-Royce focusing instead on technical improvements and additional Bespoke possibilities.

Rear View

The rear maintains Spectre’s dramatic fastback silhouette, with the roof flowing smoothly into its broad rear shoulders and tapered tail.

Its rear bodywork incorporates slim vertically arranged tail lamps and one of the largest single body panels ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce.

Headlamps

Spectre Series II retains the marque’s split-headlamp configuration.

Slim daytime running lamps sit high on the fascia, while the main headlamp units are positioned lower within darkened housings, creating a more contemporary interpretation of traditional Rolls-Royce lighting.

Tail Lamps

The rear features slender vertical LED tail lamps designed to remain visually neutral against the almost limitless range of Bespoke exterior colour combinations.

Their jewel-like appearance complements the clean and largely uninterrupted rear surfacing.

Side Mirror

The side mirrors integrate neatly into Spectre’s streamlined profile and are positioned to maintain visibility without disrupting the coupé’s clean exterior surfacing.

Mirror and surrounding exterior finishes can be incorporated into individual Bespoke colour and trim commissions.

Brakes

The conventional braking system works together with adjustable regenerative braking from the electric drivetrain.

Selecting Brake Mode increases regeneration sufficiently to support single-pedal driving and can bring the Spectre to a complete stop without requiring conventional braking in suitable conditions.

Wheels

A new 23-INCH forged alloy wheel design is introduced for Spectre Series II.

The highly faceted multi-spoke design features exceptionally sharp surface detailing and is hand-finished for up to six hours per wheel, with part-polished and fully polished finishes available.

Features

Active Safety

Active safety systems work alongside the Spectre’s electronically controlled chassis, stability systems and powerful regenerative braking.

Its Decentralised Intelligence architecture continuously processes thousands of drivetrain and chassis variables to coordinate steering, braking, suspension and power delivery.

Passive Safety

The Spectre’s passenger cell is built around Rolls-Royce’s aluminium Architecture of Luxury.

Battery integration increases overall structural rigidity significantly, with the original Spectre structure around 30% stiffer than previous Rolls-Royce architectures.

Drive Modes

Spectre Series II prioritises a seamless driving character rather than conventional sport-oriented drive-mode selection.

Regeneration can be increased using Brake Mode, enabling stronger deceleration and single-pedal operation, while the standard setting provides lighter recuperation to imitate the effortless coasting character of a traditional Rolls-Royce.

Infotainment

Infotainment and vehicle functions are managed through Rolls-Royce’s SPIRIT digital architecture.

SPIRIT is connected to the marque’s Whispers application, allowing owners to remotely interact with the vehicle and access selected vehicle information.

Driver Assistance

Driver assistance includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Lane Centring, allowing both systems to operate simultaneously.

The Spectre also incorporates extensive parking and camera assistance together with electronically coordinated chassis and stability functions.

Sound System

Rolls-Royce offers its Bespoke Audio system for Spectre, designed around the exceptionally quiet cabin environment.

Its audio hardware is integrated directly into the vehicle structure, while selected interior elements and speaker finishes can be personalised through the Bespoke programme.

Performance

Engine

Being fully electric, the Spectre Series II uses two separately excited synchronous electric motors instead of a combustion engine.

The combined system produces 442 KW (593 HP) and 1,015 NM, considerably increasing torque from the Series I model.

Transmission

Drive is delivered through a single-speed electric reduction transmission.

The system provides uninterrupted acceleration without conventional gear changes, complementing Rolls-Royce’s traditional emphasis on effortless power delivery.

Drivetrain

The Spectre Series II uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration.

A front electric motor is paired with a rear electric motor, allowing power to be distributed across both axles for strong traction and smooth performance.

Acceleration

Despite weighing approximately 2.9 tonnes, the Spectre Series II accelerates from 0-100 KM/H in approximately 4.5 seconds.

Its substantially increased 1,015 NM torque output provides effortless acceleration without compromising the model’s refined character.

Fuel Consumption

As a fully electric model, the Spectre Series II consumes no petrol.

Its new 112.4 KWH lithium-ion battery provides between 582 KM and 628 KM WLTP range, with official energy consumption rated between 20.2 and 21.7 KWH/100 KM.

Maximum DC charging remains 195 KW, with a 10-80% charge requiring approximately 28 minutes. A 22 KW AC connection can recharge the battery from 0-100% in around 5 hours 45 minutes.

Comfort

Convenience

Spectre combines electrically operated coach doors with keyless access, comprehensive powered seat functions and Rolls-Royce’s connected SPIRIT ecosystem.

The driver’s coach door can also close automatically when the driver presses the brake pedal, reducing the need to manually reach for the large door.

Rear Air Vents

Dedicated climate outlets are provided for rear occupants as part of the Spectre’s multi-zone climate-control system.

Rear passengers can therefore receive individually directed airflow despite the vehicle’s two-door coupé configuration.

Ride Comfort

The Spectre uses Rolls-Royce’s advanced Planar Suspension System together with four-wheel steering.

Its electronically controlled anti-roll system can decouple the wheels on straight roads to reduce body movement, then reconnect and adjust the dampers when cornering to maintain stability and the marque’s signature “magic carpet ride”.

Sound Insulation

Acoustic refinement is one of the Spectre’s defining qualities.

The battery is structurally integrated beneath the cabin and serves a secondary role as approximately 700 KG of acoustic insulation, supplementing the inherently quiet operation of its electric motors.

Wrap Up

Conclusion

The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II evolves the marque’s first electric super coupé without unnecessarily changing its widely acclaimed exterior design.

A more powerful 593 HP and 1,015 NM drivetrain, larger 112.4 KWH battery, up to 628 KM WLTP range and quicker charging significantly improve its technical capabilities, while expanded Bespoke materials and craftsmanship further reinforce its ultra-luxury positioning.

Ultimately, Spectre Series II remains focused less on outright EV statistics and more on delivering the silence, refinement, craftsmanship and effortless performance expected from a Rolls-Royce.
