Naza Eastern Will Bring Suzuki EVs To The Malaysian Market In 2025

Cars importer and distributor Naza Automotive Group has ambitious goals for its entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market under its subsidiary, Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd.

As an official distributor of new Suzuki vehicles, Naza Eastern Motors intends to introduce the Japanese automaker's electric vehicles to the Malaysian market in 2025.
Berita Harian reports that Naza and Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) are currently discussing the best EV models to introduce in Malaysia.

The incentives offered by the Malaysian government for fully imported EVs (CBU), which will expire on December 31, 2025, have also been discussed, according to Naza's Chief Operating Officer, Mohamad Irwan Shahril.
“SMC provided a timeline in 2025 as opposed to the preliminary planning one year earlier”, he added.
For the record, after its official return in 2021, Suzuki launched two of its most prominent models in Malaysia: the Jimny and Swift Sport, via Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd.

The Japanese marque is not lagging behind more in the EV segment as it has finally unveiled its first electric vehicle at the Auto Expo in India. The EV concept, known as the "eVX," or "Emotional Versatile Cruiser," will be launched by 2025.
