Suzuki Fronx Teased Again, Bookings Now Opened
Suzuki Cars Malaysia (Naza Eastern Motors) have teased the upcoming new Suzuki Fronx online, announcing bookings are now opened starting today too.

Teased last month, the new Suzuki Fronx appears to be a step closer to launch here in Malaysia. That’s because earlier today, Suzuki Cars Malaysia (Naza Eastern Motors) took to its official Facebook page to tease it again and announce that bookings are now opened starting today (Sept 18) too.
Through said teaser and booking announcement, the firm elected to post a veiled silhouette of the compact crossover SUV offering. No other details were released, but we’re certain this Honda WR-V and Chery Tiggo Cross fighter should arrive within the final quarter (Q4) at the latest.
Prior to this latest teaser, Suzuki Cars Malaysia had committed to expanding its local line-up within this year to include the new Fronx and the new e-Vitara EV SUV model as well. The latter was also teased by the firm locally not too long ago.
As a refresher, the new Suzuki Fronx first debuted globally in India back in April 2023. Despite its budget-conscious development roots, the S-brand’s budding B-SUV offering promises not to look or feel ‘cheap’. Certainly, it has a kit list that promises which.
Despite its budget-conscious development, Suzuki promises the Fronx won't look nor feel cheap.
Closer to home, the Suzuki Fronx is already assembled locally (CKD) and marketed in neighbouring Indonesia with three variants on offer plus the choice between a regular combustion (ICE) and mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrains as well.
Malaysia-bound Fronx units are expected to come from said republic and marketed here as ‘ASEAN CBU’ offering.
In Indonesia, the ICE-powered Fronx uses a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill rated at 101 PS and 135 Nm. The MHEV choice instead gets a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill brimmed with an integrated starter generator (ISG) and 12-volt lithium-ion battery that outputs 105 PS and 138 Nm.

In terms of size and footprint, the Fronx is very closely matched against the Honda WR-V and Chery Tiggo Cross.
In terms of size, the Fronx sits 3,995 MM long with a 2,520 MM wheelbase, 1,765 MM wide and 1,550 MM tall. For perspective, it’s close in size to the Perodua Ativa, as well as both the Honda WR-V and the recently launched Chery Tiggo Cross.
Though bookings are now opened at showrooms and authorised dealers, no prices were indicated yet. Nevertheless, expect the Suzuki Fronx to be priced closely against its Chery and Honda rivals mentioned.
For reference, the Chery Tiggo Cross starts from RM88,800 (1.5 Turbo) and RM99,800 (1.5 Hybrid CSH) whereas the Honda WR-V is tagged at RM107,900. Expect the Suzuki Fronx to be priced within this range.
